Ask about the first weeks and onboarding

Integração can mean onboarding or integration into a team. Ask what a new person normally learns first and who supports the transition. Companies organize onboarding in different ways, so let the interviewer describe the actual process.

Questions about the first days can also reveal which tools, people, or routines matter most in the position.

Como costuma ser a integração de uma pessoa nova na equipe? What is onboarding usually like for a new person on the team?
Quais ferramentas eu precisaria aprender primeiro?Which tools would I need to learn first?

Find out which outcomes matter early

Use prioridades iniciais (early priorities) and expectativas para os primeiros meses (expectations for the first few months). Ask what a successful start would look like rather than assuming a fixed 30-, 60-, or 90-day framework.

A concrete question helps the interviewer explain real goals, current projects, or the team's most important needs.

Quais seriam as prioridades para os primeiros três meses? What would the priorities be for the first three months?
Como vocês avaliam se uma pessoa está tendo um bom começo?How do you assess whether someone is getting off to a good start?

Ask how feedback and support work

Ask com que frequência a equipe conversa sobre progresso (how often the team discusses progress). You can also ask who will be your main point of contact when you have a question.

These questions help you understand how to get support and how expectations are communicated, without implying that a particular review schedule is guaranteed.

Recall the Portuguese, then say it

Read the English prompt and say a Portuguese version before opening the answer. The answer shows the example from the lesson; other natural translations may also work. Compare the meaning and the situation rather than counting a different word as automatically wrong.

Make the phrase useful to you

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.

Ask about onboarding, early priorities, and feedback so you can understand what a successful start means for this specific team.

Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
