Describe the change without dismissing your past work
Use estou fazendo uma transição de carreira (I'm making a career transition) or estou migrando para a área de… (I'm moving into the field of…). Then name the experience you are bringing with you.
A strong answer shows continuity: a skill, responsibility, or problem you handled before that will also matter in the new role.

Connect one transferable skill to the new role
Habilidade transferível means transferable skill. Give one concrete example with desenvolvi (I developed), organizei (I organized), or resolvi (I solved). A short example is easier to follow than a list of adjectives.
Explain what you learned and how it prepares you for the responsibilities in this job. Be specific about experience you actually have.

Explain why this position is the next step
Finish by connecting your interest to the actual role: Quero aprofundar meus conhecimentos em… (I want to deepen my knowledge of…). Mention a responsibility or product from the job description rather than relying on a general line about wanting a challenge.
An honest answer can describe a learning goal while still showing what you can contribute now.

Make the phrase useful to you
Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.
Show a clear thread from past experience to a transferable skill and then to a specific reason for pursuing the new role.
Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
