Write a Project Proposal in Portuguese: Scope and Deliverables — Practice
A guided practice lesson with English explanations, Brazilian Portuguese examples, and answers you can check. Read the examples, recall the meaning, then say a version of your own.
Name the parts of a project proposal
A project proposal is uma proposta de projeto. Escopo means scope; entregável means deliverable; etapa is a stage; and prazo is a deadline or timeframe. Use these words as headings so the client can scan what is included.
Include the client's stated goal near the top. Then describe the work in concrete terms rather than relying on a vague promise such as melhorar a presença online.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| A proposta inclui três etapas e dois entregáveis principais. | The proposal includes three stages and two main deliverables. |
| O escopo está descrito na primeira página. | The scope is described on the first page. |
Separate included work from extra requests
Está incluído means ‘is included,’ and fica fora do escopo means ‘is outside the scope.’ Describe revisions, meetings, and extra rounds in plain language so both sides understand what the price covers.
If a request changes the work, say that it may affect the timeline or cost and offer to outline the change before moving ahead.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| Duas rodadas de revisão estão incluídas. | Two rounds of revisions are included. |
| A tradução do material fica fora do escopo desta proposta. | Translating the material is outside the scope of this proposal. |
Invite questions and confirm the next step
Ask whether any part needs clarification: Algum ponto da proposta precisa de mais detalhes? You can offer a short call to review a specific item with the client.
Confirm whether the client wants to approve, request a change, or discuss the proposal further. Write down any revised scope and timeline before starting the work.
| Brazilian Portuguese | English meaning |
|---|---|
| Você gostaria de revisar alguma etapa comigo? | Would you like to review any stage with me? |
| Depois da aprovação, posso começar na segunda-feira. | After approval, I can start on Monday. |
Remember: Use a written proposal to name the scope, deliverables, revisions, timeline, and the client's next step.
Check your understanding
Choose the English meaning of each Portuguese example. Answer before looking back at the tables. These questions check the written examples in this guide; they are not a listening or proficiency test.
Recall the Portuguese, then say it
Read the English prompt and say a Portuguese version before opening the answer. The answer shows the example from the lesson; other natural translations may also work. Compare the meaning and the situation rather than counting a different word as automatically wrong.

Make the phrase useful to you
Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.
Use a written proposal to name the scope, deliverables, revisions, timeline, and the client's next step.
Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
