Use tráfego for movement or flow

Tráfego with e commonly refers to the movement of vehicles, people, or data through a system: tráfego intenso (heavy traffic), tráfego aéreo (air traffic), tráfego de dados (data traffic). It describes flow rather than a particular crime.

The related word tráfego is frequent in signs, traffic reports, and technology. For a car on the road, trânsito is also common in Brazilian Portuguese.

Use tráfico for trafficking or a trade

Tráfico with i often refers to trafficking, especially an illegal trade in people, drugs, weapons, or protected wildlife. In this use, it names an organized activity rather than ordinary movement on a road.

The noun may also appear in expressions for commerce or trade, so let the surrounding words specify the activity. Use trânsito or tráfego for the movement of vehicles, not tráfico.

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Tráfego usually names the flow of vehicles or data. Tráfico commonly names trafficking or a trade, especially an illegal one.

Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
