Ask whether the store can include your CPF

CPF is Brazil's individual taxpayer registry number. At checkout, a common request is Pode incluir meu CPF na nota? (Can you include my CPF on the receipt?). Whether the store requests or records it depends on the transaction and the retailer's process.

Use the phrase only if you have a CPF and want to provide it. You can ask what information is needed rather than assuming the cashier can add it after the purchase.

Share the number clearly when requested

If the cashier asks you to say the number aloud, speak in short groups and offer to show it on a screen or card if that is easier. For privacy, share personal information only in the checkout interaction you intend.

Ask the cashier to repeat or confirm the digits if you are unsure they were entered correctly.

Check the receipt before you leave

Nota fiscal is a tax document; comprovante can mean a receipt or proof of payment. Check that the purchase and the details you requested appear on the document. If something is missing, ask the cashier whether it can be corrected.

Keep the receipt if you need it for your own records or to contact the retailer later.

Make the phrase useful to you

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.

Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
