Request feedback on one specific task

Ask whether a colleague can review a specific document or task. A focused request is easier to answer than “Can you give me feedback?” without context.

Use revisar (review) or dar uma olhada (take a look) in a professional but conversational setting.

Você pode revisar este documento?Could you review this document?
Queria saber o que você achou da proposta.I’d like to know what you thought of the proposal.
Tem um ponto que eu poderia melhorar? Is there one thing I could improve?

Ask a follow-up without getting defensive

If feedback is unclear, ask for an example or a suggestion. The goal is to understand the point, not to defend the first draft immediately.

You can acknowledge the comment and ask what change would make the work clearer or more useful.

O que você mudaria primeiro? What would you change first?
Entendi. Vou revisar essa parte.I understand. I’ll review that part.

    Confirm the next step

After the conversation, repeat the action and deadline in your own words. This helps both people leave with the same expectation.

    Check your understanding

Choose the English meaning of each Portuguese example. Answer before looking back at the tables. These questions check the written examples in this guide; they are not a listening or proficiency test.

Recall the Portuguese, then say it

Read the English prompt and say a Portuguese version before opening the answer. The answer shows the example from the lesson; other natural translations may also work. Compare the meaning and the situation rather than counting a different word as automatically wrong.

Make the phrase useful to you

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.

Ask for feedback on one specific task, request an example if needed, and repeat the next step and deadline.

Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
