Request Proof of Enrollment in Brazilian Portuguese — Practice

Use the common name for the document

Comprovante de matrícula is proof of enrollment. Some institutions use declaração de matrícula or another title, so describe the purpose if the office uses a different term.

Give your full name, course, and student number through the university's approved channel. The office can tell you which identifying details it requires.

Ask which format and language are available

Ask whether the document is digital or printed and whether it includes the information you need, such as program and current term. If another organization requires a particular format, tell the university before submitting the request.

Do not assume a Portuguese document will be accepted by an overseas organization. Confirm translation or certification requirements with the receiving institution.

Confirm timing and delivery

Ask how long the request usually takes and where the document will be sent. The university sets its own service time and delivery options.

Check the spelling of your name and the issue date when the document arrives. Ask the issuing office to correct an error before you submit it elsewhere.

Make the phrase useful to you

Choose one example you could actually use. Say it once from memory, then change one detail that fits your life, such as the person, place, time, or object. Check whether your change also needs a different verb form, article, or adjective ending. If it does, compare it with the pattern in the explanation.

Request the document by name, describe the format you need, and confirm the delivery method and issue details.

Return to two prompts tomorrow without opening the answers first. If a phrase still feels difficult, shorten it to a useful chunk and build the complete sentence again.
